AMEN BROTHER!

I don't particularly have anything against the -1C, but god am I sick of seeing practically nothing but in the arena. Realistically I think they comprise about 1 in every 3 aircraft you see, but when you consider how many aircraft we have total, thats a HUGE proportion of the overall sorties.

We may not have to wait until the next version to have a perk plane. It's looking like the F4U-1C will end up getting perked as I don't really want to stretch the point value differences further. I don't think point values on planes willhave their full effect until there's something to cash them in on.

Perks are a way to balance the arena, not so much a means of classifying planes. How many were produced or what its combat record was is not relevant. Some planes intended to be perks may not need to be while others that weren't intended to be may end up getting perked. Right now, the F4U-1C is accounting for about 20% of all kills in the arena. I don't want to push the score values any further so perking it is about the only option left. I don't really like the idea of making a carrier plane unavailable from the carrier.

This is kinda funny. Hmm.. i wonder why you see so many f4us in the MA now. Maybe its because there are only 5 fighters that can take off from a carrier? I see more F6Fs than anything else now. Probably because its new and everyone wants to try it out but nevertheless there are swarms of them. Its funny how the "ace" pilots complain about certain planes make it "easy" to get a kill in aces high. Certainly some planes are better than others, but its the pilot that makes the difference.

Its really a shame that some of the elite pilots in this game (citabria... oops) suggest that it is unhonorable or you are a dweeb if you fly the better planes. I don;t think they realize that for most of us newer pilots, its a challeng to get a kill in any plane. I am sure they would be happy if we payed 30 bucks a month so we could spend countless hours flying around in spit Vs and 202s never shooting anyone down, but for my money I am out to get enjoyment from Aces. If that means flying the F4Uc or Niki then so be it. But if its in the game, you cannot call someone a dweeb just for flying it. This whole "I am so good I don't need to fly that plane" attitude is garbage.

I don't consider myself a great pilot yet. Sure I can do decent in most furballs, but most of the really good guys shoot me down every time. But, I LIKE to see someone in a NIKI or an F4u. Usually the new guys have bought into the crap about these planes being so "uber" that they are overconfident and make mistakes. Sure an ace pilot in one of these planes may be a very dangerous thing. It fine if the ace pilots don't want to fly them, but let the new guys have their run. They will get bored flying the same plane eventually and want to try something else. I did.

The only thing the C does better than any other plane is hit hard.
It was meant to.
Just take the C away and perk the F4U-4 if the majority doesn't like it.

Didn't take long to move to the nik. Then its time to perk the P38. The views in that thing are ridiculous. Then the G10. We all know that's an Uber plane. Then lets perk the........

BTW. I know what the hookers for. But what's he going to do with the drunk.

P.S. You chog fans should fly H2H. You will be perfectly safe there.

Gunslayer maybe you need a hooker and a drunk I would love to see all the badass pilots in Ah all start flying the Chog. Then even YOU an obvious Chog pilot would start bawling out about how unfair it is. Its bad enough that panzy Torque flies it all the time........

LLB OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

LLB, Its really not very intelligent to infer that someone flies a certain plane all the time jsut because they are defending it. I fly a number of plane and yes the F4UC is one of them. When it comes to Jabo work i like it the best. I found every time i tried to take out the p47 every time i got jumped after dropping my bombs i got shot down. I tried the p38, which I kinda liked, but it seems to compress worse than the F4U.

I wouldn't like it if everyone in aces flew any one plane. I enjoy flying the F4U, and I also enjoy encountering someone else in an F4U because i know its strengths and weaknesses well from flying it. And unlike many of the "Ace" pilots in aces, i never complain about planes being in the game because i figure if HTC added them me and anyone else that pays their 30 bucks a month are entitled to fly them without being flamed.

Just for your information, these are some of the planes i fly:

Planes I feel i know very well,
Spit V
F4UC or D
F6F
N1K2

PLanes I have decent experience with,
P38
Typhoon
p47
Spit 9

Planes I have flown a often, but still feel like I suck in them,

109 g10
p51

As you can see, i don't limit myself to one plane, but my 30$ definitely buys me the right to fly whatever i want regardless of what anyone else thinks.

P.S. I don't need a hooker I have a young gorgeous wife
