Hehehe... a television show that put Ferrari back on the map.  Well... that and Miami Vice.

Miami Vice didnt even use a Ferrari for the first few seasons - they used a Fiero kit car until Ferrari donated a genuine example.

The 308 (think it was a GTS) in Magnum was real, AFAIK.  Beautiful too - a timeless design.

Uggg... the 308 was hideous.  I think they actually used a couple of ferraris (308 and 328) for the show.

They also used a couple for Miami Vice.  They had that California Daytona in the first episodes (which simply had to be a kit car), then went to the testarosa (doesn't suprise me that the first car was a kit).

But still, it was endless publicity.

Ugh... I think they played that series 10 times in a row on TV here since it cam out... there probably still is a channel that runs it. The "Higgins" character was classy though.

Saur, I believe it was a 308GTB and I agree.  Timeless and beautiful.
