Based on the majority who have replied, it looks like PDF wins out. Although I think I can manage a Word (office 2000) document without any hassle because I have a PDF driver that works form within Word. It allows me to create a word document then "print" it out as a pdf document. Pretty swift, but it's an eval only thing so it has a watermark but that shouldn't interfere with the manual.
Thanks to all those who offered help, I may take you up on it if I need any! ;-)
