computer restarting

does anyone else have the problem of their computer restarting during a battle.  i will be in the middle of engaging aircraft from an M16 or osti and my computer will just restart.  im not hitting the plug or anything.

Although I only have little time yet in AH2 I've got a reboot after I came to a stand while ditching on the rwy...

I also have a new system. But no instabilities in other games (like DOOM3) yet. Not conclusive if AH2 problem or not... will report further findings.

Kirin can DOOM3 run in directX mode and see if it still work ?

Usualy when there is a Dx error the computer reboot ...

Anyway you can try to reinstall directX it won't be dangerous and can correct this problem

I have the same problem too except mine happens at all different times, seems to happen the most when choosing an Option off of the clipboard. There have been times I go thru 4-6 restarts before things level out. Many times computer has restarted as I key the Mic to talk.

I had suggestions that my power supply was to small and not enough ram so I put in 512Meg more Ram for 1 gig total and purchased a 480w power supply but these 2 things did not help.

This only happens in this game.

If someone finds the solution let me know, especially if it wont cost me anymore money.

It has happened to me frequently.  I'm in the middle of another clean install trying to stop it but this last time is probably because I moved my Soundblaster card when I found it sharing an interupt on the PCI bus and something got hosed.

still having the restart problems. it only happens while playing AH2. what gives?

Check your cooling fans.

Sounds like a heat issue to me. Could be either CPU or Video overheating in the thick of the action.

Try something like Motherboard Monitor to let you monitor temps.

Two things I can think of.

If you have an Nvidia vid card, the latest drivers are 61.77.

Run dxdiag.exe and check to make sure as the old drivers don't like Dx9c very well.

If you delete your cache folder in the AH2 program you will load up fresh updated textures the next time you start the game.

These are a couple problems I've had recently.
