If you have problems with AI 88, you would have x100 these problems with manned 88. As with the current CVs, a single player will kill all and everything into his 88 range without even risking a "death" in few minutes or seconds.

Now THERE is something to take issue with.

Manned feild/CV guns being able to kill but not risk being killed.

My feeling is if you are manning a gun position and your gun pos gets destroyed You should be killed along with the position.just like any other aspect of the game.
you shouldnt be able to gun form a position get kills thewn when that position is destroyed with you in it you get awarded with a "soinso landed X amount of kills in a gunship or feild gun" message
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

Even more, acks and heavy acks are so effective and powerful that all of them should be perked. Name a perk plane that needs 0 seconds to get into the action and that can kill everything beyond effective visual range with almost unlimited ammo? Manned heavy ack is fun for one and fustration for dozens.
