I got to ride on the 'Texas Raiders' B17 a few years ago (I think it was around $300 for an hour or so).  It was absolutely cool.  I was able to sit in the nose at the bomb sight on takeoff (yea, there was a factory with stacks right in the sights), and try out most of the seats during the flight.  Couldn't get back to the tail gunner or into the ball, but all the other positions were there.  Standing at the top gunner position and looking down the guns, standing in the waist positions with the open sides, standing next to the pilots during flight, walking the catwalk over the bomb bay......if you've got the money and the opportunity, it's definitely worth it.

Back in 1997, when the FAA still allowed it, I flew the "Nine o' Nine" from the co-pilot's seat for about 15 minutes. Needless to say, I was pitching a tent. I have the whole thing on VHS and DVD.
