What if a pilot was able to buy a few extra drones to add to his/her formation. FOr maybe 100 perks per drone a player could add 1 to 3 more bombers. Its just an idea that I thought of, not asking for it to be implemented right now. Just seeing if anyone else likes the idea.

How could you maintain the perks? Would you have to land each drone? Or better yet trust the drunks flying them to hit the runway after you so you get the land?

Yes you would have to trust the drone "pilots". ANd if you lose a drone it would be a loss of perks. It probally couldnt be 100 perks each, it would have ot be n the range of 15 to 25.

I like the idea. The cost per plane definitely will have to be under 25 bucks, though.

Considering MOST of our targets are laid out length-wise, I would hope the formation would appear as two chevrons, one behind the other.

Good idea apart from -
1) Would need dive bombing fixed.
2) Can just imagine the warps given how bad it is now.
3) The AI element of buffs landing need tweaked.
4) Buff FM needs fixing, i.e. when in 'real life' did you ever see buffs looping?

lol 4 did happen a few times........mostly by mistake though.

extra buffs in your formation would be great, and at least give us something to spend the buff points on

Lancasters and Ki-67s were capable of looping. With bombs it would probably have unfortunate side effects as the bombs came free. That isn't a FM issue though, it is a bomb attachment modeling issue.

I always thought you should have to pay for the other 2 planes in the formation. Say 10 perks for a formation, free for a single buff.

Also think the heavy bombers (anything that can have a formation) should only be able to drop bombs with Auto-Level engaged. That'd stop the dive bombing.
