Landing Kills

Today, 10th September (+8 ZULU in Australia), on a number of occasions landed kills but was told that I had ditched. I am a new member and not happy about my kills not being registered as they should.

Previously, I have "landed" my Ostwind on any road or runway in a base to land kills. It seems this is either been changed, or the criteria have been modified...or it is simply faulty code somewhere. I was absolutely certain of landing 5 kills in my Osti on the runway, but was told that I had ditched.

Anyone else had this problem lately?

You should be able to get a "succesful landing" on any paved surface at a friendly airfield/vbase (haven't tried it on the little roads in the towns yet).  Also you still get the kills, you just don't get the little ego boost of seeing your name in the text buffer.

edit, I landed succesfully in an m-16 on the taxiways at an airfield just last night now that I think about it.
