um.. its boring
« on: September 10, 2004, 04:21:50 PM »
this new plane limit thing and balanced numebrs thing is making everything stagnate. it takes numbers to take fields and keep them because we all know the main arena is not the place for coordinated attacks.

personally i would like to see maximum variety and fly against all numbers of enemy.

because local air superiority will never be balanced. its the way it is. when your guys get shot down in an even fight you will be outnumbered.

and by the way... the dueling arena is perfect place for a controlled balanced fight.

the MA is supposed to be chaos. I fly the MA looking for chaos.

but the MA to me now is now regulated.

bring back the insanity.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

I don't know. I've had plenty of good fights lately.

Ya, Rook, Bish, Knight, Bishrook, whatever, every side has had its time at the bottom of the bucket.  I remember flying with the Assasins when they were Rook, having been Bish since the first Beta.  We were ALWAYS outnumbered, and it was great, you could ALWAYS find a good fight.

I agree with Cit, I don't mind the changes as they brought something different, but I do miss the chaos and the entertainment that it brought.

I've found it enormously entertaining of late.  The balance has led, in my experience, to more frequent and exciting furballs.

Any "balance" measures are bad in my opinion. I played Ultima Online until OSI introduced "balance" into the game, thus ruining the most popular muliti-player game in history.

I'm still paying HTC but have not played since the "balance" features, but I am thinking that I may have to bow out if they remain in place.

The 3.5 million subscribers to Ragnarok Online I think will disagree about UO being the most popular in the history of MMOG.  Heck, more people subscribe to Lineage just in Seoul than the total number of subscribers world wide for UO.  It's not even the #1 or #2 MMOG in the U.S.  And UO's downfall can be attributed more to the cancellation of UO 3D and of any type of 'modernization' to the game than to any game balance adjustments.

Ummm, at the time Ultima Online was the most popular. And when OSI bowed to the crybabies, they lost thier crowd.
