Convergence is a constant as it relates to depth. Therefore, there is no need for a pool metaphor for convergence.

Actually i think pool as well as shooting is 3 dimensional at least, since you have to factor in time, which results in 3 dimensens, say x y and t.

If I were in an osty sitting on the runway and heard bombs falling that I knew would hit/kill me I would .ef in a heartbeat.. Maybe sooner..

If I landed in a plane and some fella was coming to vulch me or drop bombs on me or otherwise attempt to kill me, I would .ef.....

Actually, I would do anything within the game to deny the badguys a kill on me... Too bad it never works for me though.. 8(

Hiya Kappa, yes I have wondered how this thread and other threads I am involved in go un-censored myself.

As far as the exiting thing goes, I am of the same opinion. The game provides for it, only a fool would not use a function provided by the game to save yourself. How sitting there and taking your demise is somehow more noble than 'landing' to avoid it is beyond me. I agree that it is not terribly realistic, but it's just a game, therefore there is a constant compromise between realism and playability. People appearing as if by magic in planes predictably at take-off spots is not very realistic either, but I do not see anyone refusing to vulch them out of this same dubious sense of honor.

There's alot of hypocricy on these boards, but that's a subject for a later discussion.
