Election Disgust
« on: September 14, 2004, 11:09:08 PM »
And I even cross posted all over the place.

This election is disgusting....Must everyone involved get dragged through the mud? Where do the canidates stand on the issues? No one knows because they are too busy trying to do damage control...It makes me sick...If I didn't have a commitment to my current job I truly think I would leave the USA..As much as I love this country..I can't sit here and watch it go down in flames over internal BS...That is why we are vunerable to terrorists...too much he-said-she-said going on amongst ourselves that we can't see past our own boarders. Every country has it's time of power and then a big downfall into obscurity...The last few elections have proved we are close to our own collapse..except this time "we the people" are the conquering army...not a horde of Barbarians. America is sick and there is no cure. Alot of the problem lies with people like those on this BBS who drag up anything just to defame someones character even when it really has nothing to do with someones job performance. May God (or whoever each individual here believes in) Have mercy on our souls.

Wouldn't it just be more fun to post silly pictures of Kerry and Bush? How about if we use words like Skerry, Shrub, Dumbocrat, and Republiclown?

There's no such thing as rational political discussion on this board. It's been sliding for years and years.

Just embrace it and post some pictures of drunken presidential daughters. You can find them... Google is your friend.

I am not sure it has gotten that much worse.

Didnt a campaign in the 50s have adds saying if you elected a guy a nuke war would happen?

Tactics are the same, the candidates themselves have just gotten worse.

From Late Night with Conan O'Brian:

"Dick Cheney said the other day that there will be an attack if Kerry wins...

Yeah...

But if Bush wins he'll call it off" :D

Not true...I've followed politics from a very young age...never seen anything quite this bad. Every election the canidates get worse and worse and so do their campains. It becomes a choice of voting for the lesser of two evils vice voting for someone you believe in. The American system of government is broke and so is our election process.

The nerve of them people to run mudslinging commercials in Florida..I'm sure with the 3 Hurricanes that have leveled the state this farce of an election is the last thing on people's minds.

There have been a few in my broadsheet newspaper lately.

This one from today

This one from about a week ago

This one even has Kerry in it

Wow, this paper really has a H.O. for Bush/Kerry

I would say that if you base an entire stand on "I'm not Bush" and lokk what I did in vietnam.... no... wait... don't look at what I did in vietnam and afterwards.."

What do you expect?

I will say that it is a relief that kerrie is doing so poorly in the polls and getting so desperate these days tho.
