Error Message: Help!
« on: September 17, 2004, 12:59:36 PM »
After the double-click, a error message appears:
"Your video adapter does not support Hardware T&L.
It will not be able to run AHII".

My computer:

Card name: Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Windows ME
Memory: 62MB RAM

Thanks!

Your graphics controller is the culprit. I don't beleive this will even run Aces High but need to confirm that. What type of video card do you have? I got that error on my GeF4Ti4200 and a driver update fixed it; however, I beleive it has been posted that those Intel graphic chips will not do for AH. Sorry to be the messenger for this bad news.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

you have an onboard graphics card (82810E Graphics Controller)

And ah2 will not run on it . Sorry

You could up grade to a video card such as a gforce 5200 series or better and it may be playable but that will depend on what cpu/ram you have .

The Intel graphics controller lacks some fundamental 3D graphics hardware acceleration abilites which Aces High II needs.

The chip is a very cheap video solution for companies.  This is why it is used.  I akin it to dropping a 1972 Ford Pinto engine into a new Ferrari.

It would require a new video card.  Take care though.  If you have built-in video chip, you need to check with the manufacturer about upgrading with another video card.
Some computers are not upgradeable, some can only upgrade using a PCI card (not much of an upgrade either), and some allow a full AGP video card to be used.

64 MBs of system RAM is going to have a tough time as well, if that is correctly being reported. We need a little more info about your machine.

Spend some $$ on more ram  (i'd shoot for 512 if you could) and at LEAST an 128mb vid card (i bought a nvidia FX5200 128mb for 50.00 shipped at newegg.com)

But, like skuzzy says it depends on the manuf. of your computer.  What brand is it?
