He seems ti imply he does in an Outdoor Life interview.

He is probly talking about a SKS. It was Russian, but the chinese had a crrap load of em. It doesnt have a detachable mag, so its technically not an assault rifle, they only called it that because of the bayonet, and semi automantic fire, and the fact that it shoots 7.62x39mm. which eas standard Commy ammo. It probly reminds him of his service because vietnamese troops loved em due to the ruggedness of the rifle, u could throw it in the mud, pick it up and shoot it.

See this is why I hate this guy.

Nothing but political opportunism here, but he does not even do it well.

The M-16 is my favorite because it saved my life and my crew as I earned my 3rd purple heart...did I mention I was in VIETNAM??

I know all politicians do this, but Kerry is transparent, it's just sad.

I don't know about you, but reliability never reminds me of the M16.
