Heh, not easy to justify that kind of thinking when you have others depending on you. It isn't always just about the amount of money. If others in your household are making sacrifices it's hard to enjoy AH.   $16.04/ month (that's $14.95 + tax in TX) may not seem like much, but when you start adding up all the "little" things that you can get by without, and stuff ya absolutely won't miss, it all adds up to a significant amount. Then later, when things get better (and they will get better) you can better prioritize so you can fly AH, and be able to justifiy it.

Gentlemen:
Within every crissis lies opportunity! Opportunity on many levels....First to Hitech....this game is more than game ..its a community of..real people like tatertot....we don't know why alot of things happen to us ..good and bad.. in life. But let me suggest here that Grace Happens!......... To Hitech and the business world this  is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate  from the top the most Honorable kind of  gift...the gift of grace.... to tatertot and all those who love what he brings to the AH community. Hitech here is an opportunity to demonstrate true colors! This is an opportunity to demonstrate goodwill above and beyond the call of duty!   Hitech tatertot has given so much to aces high....lets give something back...isn't that what life is all about!? I'd like to be proud of the game I play.
With highest regards <999000>

Hey 999000,

While I understand your point about an opportunity for HT, the bottom line is the bottom line.  HT has a business.  To allow one person to continue playing without pay (beyond the first 2 weeks) is not a good business decision.  It opens a can of worms that others will try to eventually abuse.

One thing I have done is this.  I do not play at all on Monday nights due to another commitment.  I have let Tater know that he is welcome to use my account on Monday's to get at least a weekly AH fix.  He'll just have to make sure others know it's him, not me, so he doesn't get a bad rap.  :D

I also think this is where a squad can kick in with some support.  With the squad we have, $1 per person would cover tater for 2 months.  I'd be willing to chip in a couple of bucks this month to a spud fund.

Just my 2 cents.

I have to agree with nopoop.  I've been through those REALLY, tough, tough, tough times!!!  A little AH helps deal with the frustrations of the situation.

If you look, tater, I'm sure you'll find much bigger slices of fat that you can cut from your expenditures.  :)

Tatertot

Call me or shoot me an email. Depending on what you do in the auto industry I have some great opportunities right now that might interest you. I have positions all across the US. I might even have a few in your area if you want to stay put. By the way 113th Lucky Strikes have two fellas living on your street. (Gunston and Sir Pyro)

Tatertot! You're leaving just as I'm about to come back! How fun is it going to be with only 999000's buffs to try and kill(emphasis on try).  Hopefully you'll be back soon and I will be there sending out feelers on the "all" channel looking for you two.

Pffft, he is an easy kill.  All you got to do is wait until he is engaged by three or more friendlies, then dive in at 500 mph blasting him away with your 30mms.

i made the mistake of attacking tripleninehundred's ki-67s the other week. he was low and looked like a prime suspect for newbie meat!  *drools*     dived in on his high 9 and got within 600yrds before i realised he(the unknown pilot) wasnt lacking in SA skills, he was merely waiting till he could rip my wing off with 10 rounds. he fired, i died, i saw who i had been shot by. i learnt never to underestimate buff pilots untill you have a smaple of their skills.

it was also the first indication i had that he had left nits!

not good. when you coming back?

anyone remember 'Demaw1'? he was my main bomber adversary in AH1. he never made the transition?  shame, i liked him.

Not only does 999000 have good SA, he's a dam good shot. I've had him take out my engine from 1k with 50s. And dedalos is right, wait until he's engaged with 2 or 3 others before attacking.
A good tactic is to use a P-38 with 10 rockets and salvo them all at once. I've seen all three buffs go down together and it's a pretty sight to see.
