Nice, I missed that change.

Still.. I think 6hrs is a bit long with the eny thing, as the numbers can change pretty quick.

Maybe HT should do another poll in the arena like he did years ago when it was set to 12 :D

If you're asking people to change countries to balance sides, than it should come with no time penalty, so they can switch back to fly with friends when things balance out.
One of many reasons ENY is a poorly thought out band-aid that's not balancing sides but merely making lots of people angry

The way I'd like to see this done is leave the time delay in, but always allow a switch to the lowest number side.

E.g., if the B/K/R numbers are 100/130/160 at 6:00 a Knit could switch to either the Rooks or Bish. If the numbers an hour later were 100/160/130 the guy who switched could not switch to the new highest country but he could switch to the lowest country. In fact, he could have switched to the lowest country a moment after switching to the highest or second highest country. Now say he switches to the Bish for his La-7 and a half an hour later the numbers are 160/130/100. He can still switch to Rooks, but not Knits.

The advantage this would have is making it a hassle to switch between the stronger countries, but always allowing a player access to their favorite aircraft by always allowing a switch to the lowest country. It would also address the concern that squads have had of switching only to find their P-51Ds banned a half hour later.

My problem with that idea, Karnak, is this:

Say rooks have the highest numbers when I log on, and my -51D isn't available.  Let's say I've been drinking, and instead of just logging off I switch to knights, who have the lowest numbers.

30min later squadmates start logging on, and they're all still rook, and now the rooks are in the middle, bish have the most, and knights have the least numbers.  I'm stuck with a time limit that prevents me from flying with my squadron.

Too much of a headache.. if I can't fly my ride, I'll log.  Plenty of other games I can play and get to do what I want without some mickey mouse subjective attempt to balance crap.

CavemanJ,

Well, that is one rare circumstance and it still doesn't prevent you all from moving to the lowest number side.

No, but in the instance I gave I was already on the lowest side, the knights, and wanted to move back to my preferred country and fly with my squadmates, which is blocked by the time limit.

Can't have fun with my friends = log off and play something else.
