Im willing to bet not.  Its performance is very similar to that of the 17, but its better in some categories and worse in others.  Though, the 24 will have better defensive armament and bombload.

I would be very surprised if it were.  Very, VERY surprised.

The only thing it has over the B-17G is payload.  It's defensive armament will be so close that most people will not be able to tell the difference.

B-24J is better to the rear, the B-17G is better to the front.

and, why they DO, I can't understand.  :D  I fly 17's more than anything now, and I can always identify an experienced fighter jock by his first approach angle.

I'm a little disappointed that it's an American bomber but I'm happy that we're getting a new bomber nontheless.

I'm sure HTC know what they're doing especially with their roadmap for TOD. Besides, as someone mentioned, more planes will be rolling out a lot faster now that they have it down to an art :)

p.s. Great work Superfly!

Anyone disappointed needs a hefty kick to the anal region courtesy my foot.  Please don't act as if it's the end of the world.

IT'S AN UPDATE FOR CRAPSAKE![/SIZE]

How many times has HT/Pyro mentioned that after this update is out the door, normalcy will return and aircraft/vehicle production speed will be GREATLY improved?  Many of you, not all, reading this probably haven't a clue as to what 'normal operations' are at HTC.  You haven't been here long enough and probably think that the current drought we've been experiencing is normal.  It isn't.

You've waited this long, whats another two weeks?  honestly...

and supah, great work, can't wait to fly it.

And now we get another.

Well, this  is a "Yank" game built maintained and pretty much 90% paid for by "Yank" subscribers, so this all surprises you how exactly?  THey will get round to all of em someday if the game stays on  business long enough - and the hope is planes will again be arriving in intervals measured by months again so be a bit patient and enjoy.

Well ... the good news is ...

1: Both the new fighter and the new bomber enhance pacific settings.

2: Now that the B-24 is out it should pacify a large percentage that will now, hopefully, be willing to support modeling planes that fill the gaps more.

3: There's gonna be alot of B-24s to shoot down the first six months after it makes it's appearance in the MA.

Guppy that looks like the bird I'm talking about.  Looking at that pic though it seems there were some modifications to the original artwork.

The book I'm referring to is Vintage Aircraft Nose Art by Gary M. Valant.  It's on page 105 and here's what the caption says below the picture.  "This artwork was done in Oklahoma City prior to departure for the South Pacific. AFM"
