Talk about lack of conviction.

From the New York Times.

these guys wanted to vote against it but new if they did they would be voted out of office, So vote for it get into office then vote against it untill next election cycle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

"I wish we could pay for them, but this is a political problem and we have people up for re-election,'' said Representative Charles B. Rangel of New York, the senior Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee. "If you have to explain that you voted for these tax cuts because they benefit the middle class and against them because of the deficit, you've got a problem.''

Fearful of being attacked as supporters of higher taxes, Democrats said they would go along with an unpaid five-year extension of the $1,000 child tax credit; a four-year extension of tax breaks intended to reduce the so-called marriage penalty on two-income families; and a six-year extension of a provision that allowed more people to qualify for the lowest tax rate of 10 percent.

I bought one of those Foreman grills and it sucked. But I liked the idea, and so got a different brand it has been paying off in spades.

Bush made the democrats admit to everyone that they hate the middle class as much as they hate the rich and the poor.   All they really love is money that isn't theirs.... tax money.    I liked the way some of the democrats were saying how the government couldn't afford to give us this money.... Whaaa?

The republicans at least say it correctly... "the government will take less of the middle classes money away from them this year"

Lol.  The democrats are getting desperate.  They are stooping to sillyness when the pressure is on.  Either that or they have finally cracked and seen that they are wrong.
