I'm liking this guy more and more, and he isn't even my Governor.
I think California gun owners have finally found a reprieve from the anti-gun onslaught. I hope it continues.

He just banned .50 caliber rifles, but he vetoes these laws. At first sight it seems that he will drive hard core partisans of the gun debate nutz..

I didn't here about that one and just when I was getting more respect for him. It must be uber dangerous in California with 50 caliber rifles mounted at every street corner. Or maybe it was all the 50 caliber black powder musket drive bys.

Lazs nailed it IMO, the elite hollowoody politicans class is afraid somebody would pop their armored limos, 7 series Bimmers and S class Benzes..

I think another thing to keep in mind is... democrats owe a lot more to the anti gun special interest crowd and republicans owe a lot more to the membership of the NRA...

The worse republican is usually lots better than the very best democrat when it comes to gun control issues.

There are a very few exceptions back east where a democrat governor is pro gun rights and has guts but... a politican that believes in anything and also has guts? not a common thing.
