Shootout In Indy
« on: September 26, 2004, 06:01:42 PM »
WOW, can you believe the QB performances being put on by Manning and Farve. I am a believer in  the fact that trying to pick all time greatest QBs is hard because each era featured different styles of football. In this game however it is truly 2 of the best QBs to play the game going head to head and its been everything people expected. 679 yards combined and the game is not even close to over yet, I just hope GB can stick it out and get the win but its gonna be a tough one, either way this is an amazing offensive performance. Its def. not the greatest game since the def. has not really showed up for either team for the most part. Good entertainment for the afternoon.

Yep, pretty good game. It's obvious that Manning is the better QB, tho. Farve is praying everytime they have the ball.

Yeah, because Farve was the QB burning 40 off the clock in the end. :lol

Yeah, good performance by the QBs.  Manning is still a studmuffin.  He's not a team leader; he's got nothing on Favre.

Wasn't that nice of the side judge to do some backwards summersaults and not watch the play in 3rd quarter?  Would've been a nice pass interference.

I am a HUGE Pack fan and yeah you can complain about the call but it was over thrown. Lets face it though the fumbled ball cost them the game, their D finally stepped up stopped Indy twice but the offense could not get it done at the end.

Manning is nothing but a show boating little b1tch.

He wishes he was half the QB of #4.

There is nothing better to see him whimpering like a baby when things dont go his way.

With the line that GB had the Colts should have killed GB. As it was the just slid by.

And lets not even talk about the BS studmuffin calls from the refs.

Face it Morph, Farve is on the downhill slide. He can still pull one out of his *** once in a while, but he was clearly out gunned today. Looks like their next chance of winning is week 11 against the Texans.  :D

I wouldnt say he was out gunned by manning just look at the numbers and the game esentially came down to one play.

Favre
30/44 360 yards for 4 touchdowns

Manning
28/40 393 yards for 5 touchdowns

Looks pretty even too me, oh and dont forget that the O-line for the pack is one of the best in the league and their ground game is also one of the best. I think they will get themselves a win earlier than texas.

The Pack kept pulling a rabbit out of their hat, while Indy looked like a well oiled machine. That's the difference.
