I go to a trade and tech school, i also know alot about computers, electronics, and carpentry. I really want to dedicate my time to build a simpit. I was woundering if someone can send me some plans so that i can build a simpit with switches in the cockpit. I would greatly be appreciate.:)


Also can someone post pics of there simpit so that i can make a layout of what i want my simpit to look like.

LOL  I saw Gunns SimPit at the con and I was impressed , then I got to thinking and POW !  !    momma was standing behind me telling me " I Dont think so Mr. ! ! ! "

But eventually I will try to build one out of cardboard then cover it with fiberglass .

A couple of my squad mates are building there own... and I'm very close to having to build one as well!  ;)



 This one is being based on a P51 so far all of the switches and knobs in the center consol work things in the game, like flaps, trim, landing gear and so on. I guess he tied them in using a keyboard that he pulled apart. For "shift" and "cntrl" related commands I guess he had to use relays.

I'll see if I can get him to post his link of where he got his info.

Are those actual aircraft instruments?  If so, how do you get the computer to input to each one seperately so that it works?

yes they are real instruments....ebay and shows in his area is where he picked them up... but I don't know if they give real info. I know he's got "illumination" on them. I'll see if I can get him in here....he loves to talk about this think....and well he should !

I found a BF109 inst. panel for $3000.oo on Ebay , even had the gun sight  , but that was a few mos ago :cool:

im already starting a layout of my simpit. I'm going to build switches  in it. Also ca some one post some more pics please:)
