Great Pics Yucca, Thnx for sharing.

I notice the beautiful buble canopy this model is sporting, not at all like the 1 we have here in AH is it?  But that C47 in the background of the main pic is dead on the AH version!

The plane is a D-30....same as our D-30. Cosmetically, the D-25 is the same plane.

We have a D-40.

I'm sorry, but when I look at it I start to hear Mancini and imagine the plane looping with colorfull smoke trails and Binki the clown at the controls :D

The if it flew like that in WWII the LW would be rolling on the floor of their cockpits laughing and flying into the ground.

btw, some of the instrumets do not seem original, like the compass and ball.

I had to study the pic again, to see why I cant see anything out the back of AH jug. I now realize there is a hump on top of the (cant spell fusaloge) plane body, behind the bubble top. Which explains to me why I didnt realize it had a bubble canopy.

Form the Lonestar Flight Museum Website:
"The P-47 was painted in the markings of Tarheel Hal, an aircraft assigned to the 366th Fighter Squadron, 358th Fighter Group based  in Toul, France in 1944."
