THIS JUST IN From Fox News!

Both CBS and ABC released quickie reaction polls. The CBS survey of 200 "fence sitters" showed 44 percent said Kerry won, 26 percent said Bush won and 30 percent said it was a tie. The ABC numbers were similar in that 45 percent gave the edge to Kerry while 36 chose Bush and 17 percent said it was a tie.

Stephanie Cutter, the Kerry campaign communications director, told FOX News that their internal flash polling showed Kerry's favorability going from 43 to 68 percent. The Kerry campaign usually doesn't release internal polls.

FOX News' political contributors largely agreed that Kerry came out ahead.

You do realize that by posting this you invalidate every claim that fox news is not a viable source of information right?

PS

I happen to agree with the report.......

In a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll of 615 registered voters who watched the first debate, most said Kerry did the better job and nearly half said the debate made them think more favorably toward Kerry.

By narrow margins Bush came out better on believability, likeability and toughness. But there was virtually no change among those polled on which candidate would handle Iraq better or make a better commander in chief.

Pretty much sums up the debate to and what it means to Kerry in my opinion. In other words, nothing.

oops! I forgot the cherry on top:
Quote
"There was a chance that the president would knock Kerry out of the race tonight. ... I think Kerry survived and I think he did pretty well tonight. Kerry was forceful and articulate," said William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard. "He did a pretty good job of making the case that the invasion of Iraq was wrong."

rpm, the CNN/USA Today/ Gallup poll sighted over 600 actual voters, the poll you sighted listed 200 "fence sitters"

As I predicted earlier, Kerry gains nothing from the debate. Bush performed as bad as can be imagined, yet people believed him, liked him, thought he was tougher than Kerry.

Also, there was no change in which candidate would handle Iraq better or make a better commander in chief.

Isn't that sad?

It's cute how excited you are over it though.

YOU are the poo face.... YOU ARE THE POO FACE!!!

Nah, I'm not into BBS searches or making people eat their words. If everyone did that, frankly, I'd be screwed.

But bringing this back to the thread at hand.... It aint true that Kerry gained nothing.

He just had to hold his own against a sitting President. To present himself as a viable alternative.

It swings back to a referendum on Bush's Presidency, with a viable alternative in place.

The negative ads, the flipper flooper crap will seem lame now. Because it doesn't match what everyone has now seen. That wad has been shot.

What's left?

Wow Nuke, I didn't realise you were more knowledgeable and respected than the editor of The Weekly Standard. You do this for a living, too?

Note to Nuke: Fox cited 3 polls, not one. Is your last name Rather?

Anyone hear  "spin" ???

The poll does not list actual numbers. "most" said Kerry did a better job? what's the percentage?

"By narrow margins Bush came out better on believability, likeability and toughness."

So using the words of the report, the MAJORITY believe Bush came out better on believability, likeability and toughness.

Note to RPM: I never mentioned how many sources they cited.

It's funny that you mention Rather, when CBS was one of your sources for the "poll" you cited.

Damn I'm good.

We haven't seen the day Fox News spins something Kerry's way. I'm posting THEIR story. I didn't write it, sorry. Oh, I know evil left wing liberals hacked Fox's website!
