We all live in a yellow nosed submarine!

I thought it time to unviel the new LW secret weapon.  The Yellow Nosed Submarine.

In true Nomads fashion I've manged to roll a P38 into a ball and walk away, land a Spit V upsided down in the trees with no wings and walk away and now I managed to cartwheel a 109E across the water and ended up alive in the cockpit minus the wings but still afloat.

An amazing game AH :)

Yes the ditching modelling is a bit too lenient. Shot half the wing of a low B-17 last night, he just went careening of into the woods and got a "ditch".

Lenient...its down right ridiculous. Its gotten to the point where it is almost not worth shooting someone down when they are tight on the deck , because chances are that they will ditch and rob you of a deserved kill. If you shoot a guys wing off and he crash lands and gets out and walks away...you have still "shot him down" which be definition means-- to make one stop flying by hitting him with bullets. Gamey if you ask me.

lol

I have a screenshot of a Seafire I "landed" at a base the other night.

I had upped in a mssion that was going from a carrier to knock out and capture an airfield.

I managed a couple of kills and then noticed I was desparately short of fuel.  We hadn't captured the base at that point but I had no recource but to try and land and hope we captured it as soon as possible.  As I was on final approach the base ack started to light me up.  My plane was spun around as my tail was totally shot off and I smacked onto the runway backwards.  I flipped two or three times, but amazingly I came to rest on the runway, upside down.

The ack must have been busy with others because I was not being hit so I sat and waited until I heard that troops were being dropped and the base was nearly captured.

I quickly took a few pictures and when the capture happened I landed two kills sucessfully.  I looked at the pictures briefly afterwards and it appeared that the only thing remaining intact on my plane was the cockpit.

I'll post a pic of it later, when I get home.

You know how hard it is to shoot someone down in a C202, right?  I got me a nice F4U last night.  He cam in fast and high and a few mins latter I had taken an aleron and the ruder off his plane, I think.  On my last loop I noticed he was not follwing but rather slowing down and losing alt.  He was going to ditch to avoid getting killed  (Funny, he still had ammo, power, and better plane, just no advantage any more).  So, I come down, and from about 600 out I empty every bullet left in him.  Finally, right wing snaps off, he spins around twice, hits the water, flips, and . . . . no kill message.  I send an for the fight but mostly so I could see who the lamer was.  No answer.

His name shows bright and clear on the film though, lol

So, why would I want to fly that plane again?
