Westy I can't speak for Vermillion but I have a feeling walkons will be welcome.  Just be advised you might end up in a tank or a C-47.  
If you want a sexy assignment, register and clear out your Sundays!!!

Tank or C47 is fine with me. I'm a scenario slut. Give me a ride, I'll do my utter best  

 Still. Could someone tel me how walk ons will be handled? Do walkons show up in the special events arena and just blurt out on the common channel, "I'm a walk-on, who needs me?"  I kind of hope not. It adds to the overall confusion imo. Maybe one of the unused arenas could be temporarily labelled "Afrika '43 Walk-ons sign in HERE" and a walk-on manager/herder could be in touch with the CM's via RW and send folks over as needed or required.

Westy, the exact procedure is still being worked on. We have about 4 weeks to get things lined out  

I can assure you that it will be more advanced than stumbling in and announcing "Anyone need me!!?"  

We will have something up to inform people of what we need to do before then.

Any chance this thing might be seen on Saturdays instead of Sundays?

Not this time around Ice, sorry.

I'm not sure what the solution is, because Saturdays are not a good day to hold scenarios. People just don't show up, especially in the "outdoor" seasons.

Just for an example, our Saturday events draw about 1/3 the numbers that our Sunday events draw.

Camel, if you don't signup for a selected position, you will be sent to the "walkon pool" where you will be sent to whichever side needs players that night.

There are still many Axis fighter or bomber positions open, or Allied Tanker positions.

Walkons are always welcome, but realize that you take your chances   Its a tossup when you do that.
