Lancaster Specials were used at 6,000 - 16,000 feet on anti-ship runs.  Whether they had much luck hitting anything is something else.

Buffs will have to come in at 9K minimum to avoid AA.  If ships have flack... no guarentees of getting to drop angle at any alt.  I bombed ships in that other game all the dang time.  It was possible to sink a CV from 30K, but it was awfully dang hard.  You had to know just how much to lead, and hope he wouldn't turn.  Jabo works much better.

Just a thought! CV's in WWII which were steaming made evasive turns when bombers were in the area. Maybe HTC could program the CV to make evasive moves when ANY hostile aircraft was in the area threatening. This would make it harder for the High Altitude Buff, harder for a easy straight torpedo run, and detour a wounded smoking plane from easily landing on the deck of its own CV while under heavy attack. In general It might make it harder for the enemy to kill it but the CV pilots would need to scramble ahead of time to properly protect and defend it. Again, Just a thought.

Model CV's so they take 20K+lbs (ala HQ) of bombs.  By making it require A LOT of eggs it will simulate misses IMO

Skurj that would give dive-bombers the shaft.  Model the hardness of the CV like a real CV.  If there is a problem with the bombers' accuracy then fix that.  Don't pork the CV to make up for it.

anyone tried loft bombing?  I cant get it to work, bombs just fall straight down no matter what, like they dont carry the planes momentum or anything.
