Efficiency hotel in CA - help with a forgotten name
« on: October 06, 2004, 03:54:40 PM »
Ok CA residents - I'm coming over at the end of November to finish off my A & P license and I need accomodation.  Last time I was over I stayed at the Candlewood Suites which is one of those places where you have your own small kitchen and it was perfect.  It was about 45-50 bucks a night.   While I was there I saw an ad on TV for a similar place that was even cheaper - I think it was a new chain.  Can anyone help me out with the name ??

Thanks

Sparks

Day's Inn, Embassy Suites, Ramada and Holiday Inn all have "extended stay" or "business class" suites. Maybe look at some websites like hotels.com or lowestfare.com to find the best rate for the area you will be staying in. I don't think you'll find a suite in Southern California under $50 tho.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Midnight - Riverside outside LA is the plan.

Wish my memory was better.  RPM - Candlewood was running $45 at night last time I stayed - that was in Irvine - nice and clean, little kitchen area, laundry downstairs and small honor shop, nice breakfast place down the road.

Looked at some sites but good lord there's a lot of c**p to wade through.

Thanks for the links guys

Dude, That's where I live.

I will check the area. Maybe even buy you a crummy American beer when you're in town.

Thanks Midnight :aok

Plan is to arrive 29th Nov - its a 2 week prep and exam course at the airport at Riverside.  Hopefully I leave with shiny new A&P ticket and a lot cheaper than doing it here in UK.

I'll even buy the beer.

There is a Budget Inn right next door to the Riverside Airport. I'm pretty sure they have kitchenettes.
