Best thing is that I can fly the Allied side and read the instruments...Russian is a little rough and German is okay now.

Going to be nice to have a combat flight sim (with possible online ability) that makes the investment in hardware worth while.

I'm looking at a picture on my wall at work, of a B25J (Devil Dog) from Ghosts calendar with 12 forward firing 50s: 8 in nose and 2 either side of forward fuselage (just beneath cockpit glass).

Oleg posted a list with block designation, so I looked it up again.  It is a B25J-NA.  It does have the top turrent forward, and a flex and a fixed in the nose, for a total of 8.  They were field modified so much that we will just have to see what he modeled, exactly.

Il-2 cockpits are crap.  Can't read the gauges at all.

I'll probably buy it.  I've bought all his other sims, but I really wish he'd make usable cockpits.

That to cover any questions, here is the full
list of PF _stand alone_ install.

* - flyable
** - became flyable very soon
*** - posible, but not sure.
**** - need still a lot of work that to make them flyable (I don't count these that are under Luthier's control.). And if we will have not enough income and time, we will skip them.

Howver to remid all: We will never take third party models if they will not match our specifications and our own 3D samples. We can't rework third party each model. Sometime is more easy to make it from zero than to rework ("correct" and "rework" here are different terms, please pay attention)...

At leaset on more PF theater will be available in free add-on.

Don't you think that no one of competitors had/have the same amout of aircraft as well as never modelled the close to real physics of aircraft landing, or amount of maps - theaters?
So I think complines about what we have and what need to be are not valid Smile
For such a short time I think we did what others simply unable to make....

For your sure.... I will never anymore do such great work for a such short time....
I didn't saw my newborn son for a two moths making final version, was many times sleeping in office!
100% it is the last case when I have so hard work, I can't live anymore without own private life. The last years was actually like I had almost nothing.

There's alot of folks complaining about the lack of "flyable" bombers. I for one cant understand why they waste the time and energy to make any of them flyable. Having them as AI is good enough. They are usually just suiciders or ack stars just like in AH or any other game that has umm. Any way here's what Oleg said in another post in that thread:

Quote
Remeber that to make just one type two engine bomber with rear gunner positions take about 10 times more time than to make one type fighter.

He mentions the lack of data (FM and blueprints) for many Japanese planes.

Here's the original thread

Anyone have it yet ?

Is it true that the water effects we've seen screen shots of are unattainable from anything less than a 6800Gt etc ? and even then the frame rates are a slide show ?

An ATI 9800 Pro will do perfect landscape (water) without being a slideshow. If you throw in Ship AAA and are fighting very low over the water things do get difficult.
At any kind of alt without AAA firing it looks great and seems to hang around 30 fps

Ah ok , that's not what I read - they were saying to have the water effect it was a setting that only 6800's could do , something to do with nvidia shading or something
