Edbert, there's also two subtle changes - that are nice - that you won't really notice unless you switch between Excellent and Perfect while in game.
The first change is that the terrain drawing distance is pushed further out, which makes the high alt fighting a lot better because it doesn't look like you are over a drink coaster.
The second change is that low down, right along the ground, there is a new texture layer that puts down a finer detail when you are on the ground. Doesn't matter much because you really never see it, but nice when you dead stick onto the ground somewhere or land on a road.
