ATI user avoid the new control panel

This .net basse POS porked my connect :(
I removed it and all of a sudden my connect was better ...even before rebooting my PC.

You must be talking about the new .NET based control panel. Yes, it is quite CPU intensive.

I think they jumped the gun a bit. When Longhorn (Microsoft's new OS) ships, it will require all drivers to be .NET based. So you are getting a preview. But, again, I think ATI jumped too soon.

At least, you can still use and get the standard control panel and not have to use the new one.

Not only cpu intensive but like all the .net crap it look use IP for interprocess communication ...
Plus up to 70meg for a control panel this is complete madness.

I urge HTC to make a NetBSD version of Aces High :)
