Excellent article and very true.

One of my employees had a Bush sign in his window and parked in our garage.  He had "Bush Sucks" keyed into the drivers side of his car and a tire flat when he came out.

That's just sad.

I love how the article calls them "Liberals" and "Kerry Supporters", instead of "Vandals" and "Bush Haters".  The only activity assigned to folks who seem to be Kerry supporters is flipping off people in traffic.

and I also enjoy how he mixes individual cases of vandalism, with sweeping generalizations with no basis in fact, such as:

Quote

Several readers noted that Kerry bumper stickers seem to show up mostly on Mercedes, BMWs, and other "high-end Euro-steel," while Bush-Cheney cars are more modest American models. But at least part of the reason for this could be that Bush supporters are afraid to put stickers on new or expensive cars. Some families with two cars restrict the Bush-Cheney sticker to the beat-up old family van, keeping it off the better car.

Let's do a survey of that. I'll give an award to the first person who posts a photo of a volvo sporting a Bush/Cheney sticker, but outside of that, I've seen plenty more caddies, Mercedes and BMWs sporting W paraphernalia than Bush stuff.

or even better:

Quote

One reader noted that none of the homes with Kerry signs on his street display American flags. Other readers say they intentionally use the flag as a proxy.

So now the Kerry voters are un-american, huh?

And if Bush supporters are supposedly being silenced, how come we keep hearing them?

and heck, two can play at the brownshirt web search game:

let's face it, this is one of the most divisive elections in history, and there are people on both sides who are firing rounds through windows, vandalizing property and stealing signs.

To Dinger:  I think there's an obvious reason for it.  High population density correlates with both DNC votes and lower moral standards regarding crime.  It's clear that this combination of factors would result in a greater rate of anti-Bush vandalism than anti-Kerry vandalism.  The DNC go out of their way to appeal to demographic groups which contain a lot of criminals.  I'm not sure why you seem suprised by this.

Yeah it was Bush's fault that 9/11 happened. Nevermind the fact that Klinton Ignored the signs and refused to go after the terrorists after several previous attacks. People who blame the economy on Bush may as well blame the Hawiians for Pearl Harbor.

Yes Saintaw, all lost American jobs are either the direct effect of 9/11 or Clinton. Bush is not responsable. He's a uniter, not a divider.

I get sick of hearing the "no jobs" whine fest.  I looked at my paper this morning.  12 pages of jobs open.

we belong in the "entitlement society"

People want High paying jobs were they live that they don't need an education for were not much thinking or physical labor is required.  Also they expect to have greater than entry level pay for this job they are wholey unqualified for.

Yes we live in good times were people just expect to have everything they want and want nothing they actually need.
