CH+win98=problems
« on: June 26, 2000, 05:37:00 AM »
I have a CH Fighterstick, pro throttle and pedals hooked up to a win 98 system. I have just got it specifically for AH. (I tried the 2 week intro, loved it so I have the card, the software and the stick ready for 1.03). However.... I have installed through dos, used Bulletheads template but the fighterstick hats do not work. The throttle does. Is this strange or am I doing something wrong? I have only hazy memorys of dos.

I take it they aint USB.
I use CH pedals and win98 with a saitek stick. No probs at all.

What the heck are you installing under DOS for?
Do:
1. Ensure you have the correct and latest gameport drivers. (prolly soundcard driver)
2. Ensure Direct X 7.0a is installed
3. Install you JS through windows with the latest drivers for your stick from CH.
4. calibrate in windows.
5. play

if that dont work try making a custom JS in windows, like a 3 axis with hat and rudders with X buttons. Thats what i did in the end and it works fine.

ALSO....

Go to www.sierra.com  and download a handy little utility called "SpeedKeys".  You can program your throttle in a snap with it.

Make sure your stick is setup under windows as a CH Fighterstick not a generic 3 axis, 4 button joystick.
