Less firepower than a tiger. More fire power than a tiger. Less armor than a tiger, more armor than a panzer. So it's midway.

Not quite, even adjusting for your typo.

Faster than the Panzer or Tiger.
Less firepower than the Tiger or Panzer.
Less armor on the front hull than the Panzer, more everywhere else.
Less armor than the Tiger everywhere.
No pintle gun to shoot at aircraft.

Oh yeah, and it looks better than either 'cause the T-34's a great looking tank.

It has excellant sloping on the front armour..Should take more frontal hits than the Pnzr..Also I believe the gun to be at least equal to the panzer IV.

Not even close. The Panzers gun was at some 50% more powerful when comparing best ammo and always much more accurate.

I fear the sloping armor will be a problem due to my bizzare experiences with the bouncing hit model in AH even against 90 degree vertical plates at close range.

Wasn't the T-34 designed to attack fixed and static defense positions while the German tanks were designed for more tank vs. tank combat?

Sloped armour doesnt indicate any particulare purpose of the vehicle. Its just a way to get more protection from a given thickness of armour at the expense of interior volume and lay out.
The Panzer IV and Tiger were designed arround the gun and crew. The whole T34 was designed inside the armour.

No..I disagree..It was a major advance of tank technology...In 1941(!!!) sloping armour was a new design(an anti-tank enginering idea)...The Germans were shocked that (the T-34) was virtually inpenetratable except at point black range.

It took them almost 2 years to push out a copy tank..The Panther(imho the best tank of WW2)

Even then the Panther had defects like shot traps(and turret teething probs)..etc..for some time

In fact the Germans had inferior tanks from 1939 to 1942(late).

But they had much superior tactics(not modeled in AH2)

:D

And the T34 is really really FAST.
On really bad terrain it was ywice as fastas the Panzer.
And when finally the terrain would be to boggy for the Panzer to drive, the T34 would still be on the go.....

The armor is sloping
And the turret is small and hard to hit.
The cannon is big enough to kill a Panzer at a modest range.

So, it's a killer.....
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
