That gave me vertigo just watching it.

How many times have those guys bonked their heads on the first flip after they jump? Some of them were awfully close.

Sounds like the South Africa one where he went INTO the waterfall scrwed him up pretty bad

"It's what's known as a life experience," says Corliss, describing a jump from a cliff in South Africa where he broke multiple ribs, his back in three places and sat immobile in freezing water for an hour awaiting rescue while crabs ate the flesh around his back wounds. "Not all life experiences are fun, but I wouldn't change it for the world."

we have here some local Base Jumpers, they jump close where we
Paragliders start:

This is the view you have shortly after start, you cant Imagine how this
looks in real, it goes dooooooown verticaly aprox 1600m

And this is the view you have seconds before starting with the paraglider.
Better dont stumble here while starting!

I dont know if i would risk a Base Jump.
We had last year 2 death's, one because a chute malfunction
and the other crashed into the mountain shortly after the chute opened.
Its very very risky here, maximal 2 seconds free fall or so.

ive done one total. with a buddy from military who is now a stunt man. for my first one he took me to bridge. said thats safest most room for error just after your toss and deploy. no matter which way you pitch if your control isnt perfect you have a few seconds to steer back on safe course. i got trained in mil freefall years ago and i dont jump every weekend like some guys do. what impressed me most was that guys body control through all motion and his "fine flying control" when freefalling. if youn watch his calves from his helmet cam when hes jumping angel falls look at the way hes "flying" along the face of the cliffs. hes very smooth always totally in control. ive been watching that vid about three times a day thanks again delsys.
