So... last night in the CT I was rammed 3 seperate times by P-40's who flew away with no noticable damage. It seems to happen to often to be just a coincidence.

I've got a great connection to the internet, my ping to the server is a steady 30. I'd like to see an areana for broadband only, make all the dialup weenies fly together. :D

Wow.. this isn't really all that complicated.

Ok, open your minds here.

If YOU SEE a ram... YOU DIE.

The other guy may have flown below you, or above you, or off to one side of you, and missed you on his end.

You couldn't be bothered to move, so you rammed him, and died.

If you see someone flying right up your 6 going 500 mph and you are going 200 mph.. get out of their way.  Because if that plane flies through you, YOU got in a ram.

It's not just your connection to the internet or server that counts, yaknow. Even if everyone had broadband ... HT's experiment to make AH2 faster than the speed of light failed. Get off the backs of the dial-uppers. There's not that much of a difference involved there, trust me. You better trust me.

You selfish homo. :D

Some nights the fighting gets in close and collisions happen more often...the collision bug was fixed? I would chalk it up to just a bad run. Unless there is serious proof otherwise.

That being said all flight sims have a problem, an old problem, and that is lack of peripheral vision, which is key in RL to seeing an a/c out of the corner of your vision. In flight sims collisions happen more often because of this as well. Also lack of depth cue to judge closing speeds.

Also, many players have rudimentary game devices...they dont all have 200 dollar 32 way hat switch sticks with customized controls, so sometimes Im sure the poor sod was trying to find the "look up" key when he found what he was looking for....oops.

BS VWE,

We HOed each other last night, from far out.  My 50s connected, your BBs did too, but the 50s won.  You flew straight and just over me, then cried about being rammed.

Your FE should have detected a face full of 50s.  Maybe it detected a collision too; if so, you're the rammer.

Either way, you lost, you whined.

BTW, I have a great broadband connect.

The rammer always dies because he sees the "ram" on his front end. The guy you claim "rammed" you didn't see a colision on his end.

He only gets the kill message if he hit you with bullets on his end.

So if you see a "ram" on your end and die then you certainly did collide, not with his plane but his bullets.

Knowing this the responsibility for avoiding colision death is on your end. Just like Killshooter are in control. Of course their are rare accidents.

You can't have both die or you would be back with another whine about how you were D100 away and you just exploded for no reason.
