Great game on ESPN2. #1 Southlake Carroll "Dragons"vs #19 Denton Ryan "Raiders".

Halftime- Southlake is leading 31 to 13.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I couldnt believe this when I saw it last night when I switched over to ESPN after the Astros game on FOX.  Seems a little strange to me for ESPN2 to be broadcasting high school football.  I didnt watch the end of the game but I was sorry to see Ryan getting stomped since I just moved from there a few months ago.  I never could really get into any of the local teams though....it just feels different when you try to cheer on a high school team from a school that you didnt actually attend.

Our local cable access broadcasts a high school football "Game Of The Week" and they can be pretty good.  Even though the uniforms may not fit well, or the players may be smaller and slower than the big leagues, its fun to watch the kids playing their hearts out, face-down dirty in mud and grass, while coaches have heart attacks on the sidelines.  The camera work isn't the best, but that's part of the charm I guess.
