« on: October 15, 2004, 03:47:02 AM »
the C.202 has a Eny of 60 and this is the same as the P40B and Spit1 the C.202 surpass both aircraft in most stats only draw back being firepower

i ask HTC to plz lower the C.202 to 50eny or lower

compared to the p40 it is a HUGE drawback... even the "crummy" p40 has some 50's i believe.

and the spit has 8 guns, the 202 only 4.. with the weaker ammo (303's hit harder in AH than the 7.2's)

also both the spit and the p40 have more ammo.

i'd say both of them need the ENY lowered instead of the 202
I don't know what to put here yet.

The C.202 is armed with two 12.7mm guns and two 7.7mm guns.  It has about the same firepower as the Spitfire Mk I or Hurricane Mk I, perhaps a tad more.  The P-40B is armed with two .50 cals and four .30 cals.  The C.202's performance is much, much better than either the Spitfire Mk I's or P-40B's.

I dunno guys, you can run the stats however you want, but with the 202's guns I feel like a duck attempting to peck someone to death. On the other hand, a few good bursts with the gun packs of the Hurri and Spit 1 and we have parts flying off and smoking radiators etc. I use the Hurri 1 a lot for base defense, it turns on a dime and can surprise the heck out the over-confident Spit pilot or slow P38 driver. The 202 takes ages to get up to survivable speed and alt and you have to SIT on an enemies 6 till  he dies of boredom. If there was rating higher than 60 I would put both the 202 and the 110 C4 in it.

Just my worthless 0.2

Aren't 2 .50's already better than the 202's 4 MGs together?
Or are the B's .50s a different model than the other later US planes'?

the c.202 surpasses the P40B in ever way and only being behide in Firepower

this plane needs it ENY lower

but if you cant kill a fighter with the c.202 guns then you need to learn about tracking shots and get better at shooting

The C202 has fine guns, in fact the 4 gun package is preety useful - plus the plane flies beutifully.

Interesting.  I've never tried the four-gun setup, will have to give it a whirl.

Same here for the longest time as I never thought the  two 7.7mm  would help.  But once I gave it a try and I noticed quite a difference in killing ability and no real drop in performance.

Not anymore. The C.202 and C.205 now both suffer the same instability under 200mph as the 109s do.
