ok I have no issues with my mic in any other application but since i got this new puter my voice doesn't sem to transmit over the air in AH it works in any other program i have tried so far although i dont play any other online games any suggestions?? when talking others hear my channl BEEP but not my voice ?? Really frustrating ...although i spose my squad mates dont mind the piece an quiet

First make sure the mic is plugged all the way into the mic jack. Color coded green if memory serves.

Start > Control Panel >Sound, Speech and audio devices >Sounds and audio devices>Voice tab

Make sure your sound card shows in both windows here.

In the voice recording section click volume and make sure it is turned up

Do the hardware test until you get things set the way you need.

When your done check the volume for the speakers too.

Select the Volume tab to set an icon in you task bar to adjust volume on the fly.

Go into the game and go through the voice setup.

Go into the Training Arena and set the radio to yourself with the command

.radio5

Use the mic as you normally would and you'll get a delayed loop back of your voice. When things are set, change radio 5 back to whatever channel you had before hand (.radio 200) or set it to squad if you have squaddies on.

Also make sure the Microphone is set as the recording device in the Audio Sound Recording panel of Windows.

I heareveryone just they dont hearme?

Under Voice in the AH options try selecting/unslecting "Use Wave In"

I haven`t had vox since the beginning of AHII. I`ve posted several times and tryed everything I know of , but to no avail. I just gave up.

Hearing everyone else is normal, even if your vox doesnt work. That just proves you have sound coming from your speakers, has nothing to do with the vox on your computer working or not.

I always had trouble knowing if my mic was set properly as well, until I upgraded to XP. It has a utility called the Sound Hardware Test Wizard. You speak into the mic, you hear your voice coming from the speakers. Then at least you absolutely, beyond any doubt KNOW that your hardware is working. If you dont hear your voice coming out, then you have a problem. Of course, any recording program will do the same thing, just start recording and talk into the mic. If you get nothing then you probably have something set wrong.

yea had win xp had notrouble friend reloaded win now 98 an cant find ANYTHING lol dont know where even to look for audio recording device IN windows 98????????? dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnng frustrating

also I have a phillips box for sound choices ...only thing i se in control panel marked sounds is the asterix an other sounds a sprograms open or close

Same place. Right click the speaker ICON in the task bar, and select "Properties". Or go to the Control Panel and open the "Sounds" ICON.

NOTE: It may not be named as I noted above, but that should give you the general idea.

Windows, by default, will not set the microphone as the recording device. If you do not set it, then voice cannot work in Aces High.
Also note, applications can and will change the recording device, without your knowledge. So if voice stops again, check that control panel.

first of all to those of you that helped me I FOUND out what it was ... did NOT turn the volume up enuff did NOT have it as ther recording device found where that was FINALLY and lol now the vox works GREAT ...............except a wire in the head set was bad from factory an only occasionally works
