still works fine but is of the old 10 pin sort, had to buy a USB stick.

the evo is better than there top end X45 joystick........now that POS!

the X45 throttle is ok though i guess.

i dont think the evo range works well for turning, maybe not so bad for E fighting.

slow speed response gives too much wobble.

Ms sticks are by far the best ive played on for TnB

Buy at best buy - get the $10 2 year warranty. My up front hat  view is getting a little flakey on x45 after a few months. Ill be taking it in soon for a new hat or a new stick.

I've had my Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold for 2 years now and have used it enuf that there are pollished white spots where my fingers go. other than minor fixes and lube  at the base it's been great it still acts like new. It will be a sad day when it finally dies. :)

I`ve posted this before to some that had that problem. Here`s the cure...Go down to Wally World or your local hardware store. Purchase a tube of Plumber`s valve and faucet grease. Costs less than 2 bucks. Put some of this on a Q-tip, push stick forward or to one side and slide the Q-tip under the rubber boot and spread the grease around on the ball. Problem solved. It will be as smooth as silk and it will out last lubes such as silicone, etc.

This always cracks me up when someone posts about this. Don`t let the store rip you off for the extra charge on the warranty. Saitek has a 2 year warranty from the factory. Deal directly with the factory.

Sounds good, I mash a candle between the cup and ring to get smoother travel but needs to be done regularly.

what's the turn around time when dealing with Saitek corp?

I can have my X45 replaced from the time I unplug it to the time I fire up the new one in less than an hour (CompUSA is 15 min down the road) for under $12 a year. For that convience & security, I'll gladly pay one dollar a month.

Had a button go out on an X45.  I reprogrammed function to another button. I then e-mailed Saitek, explained the problem and also told them I ran an online squad and didn`t want any down time. I ask them if they would ship me a stick and let me return the older one upon receiving the new one. No problem. It was sent to my door .
Also I don`t know about the state you live in, but here the extra "warranty" charge is a farce. Here if a manufacturor places a 2 year warranty on a product and the store is an authorized dealer, they have to honor the warranty on the product.

Best Buy is a mile and a half from my house. No postage, no trip to ups, and a new stick in about an hour. Thats worth $10 to me.
