um.  okay.

Hardly, you pay to play the game. If you are not happy with the maps, you (note I said "YOU") have the option to do something about it. Unlike other games in this genre, users can actually impact the game.

Sorry, but, I really have little sympathy for whines on this subject. I've been doing this sort of thing for years and I really don't get the "McDonalds" generation's lack of an attention span. This game has more terrain variety than any similar game ever has (add in the terrains available in the CT and the variety shoots out of sight). Yet, people continue to whine for more terrains. Oh well, I guess some folks should just go get another Happy Meal and wait for the next episode of TeleTubbies.

You get the idea Tinpot?  If you ask for more maps you are a McD generation whiner and we have no simpathy for your kind.  I am surprized he told you to get a happy meal instead of canceling your account.

Did you even bother reading the original post or did you just see this as a flame opportunity?  Talk about lack of attention span.  You could not take the time read or comprehent the post but you had plenty of time for name calling.  Read it again and tell how that is a whine?

Sorry, but, I really have little sympathy for people like you. I've been doing this sort of thing for years and I really don't get the non "McDonalds" generation's lack of respect towards other people and their opinions, and their know everything attitude.

Geez Dedalos...I hit too close to home? :D

Here is a quote from my earlier post in this thread...

"BTW Tinpot...please see my post in your redundant thread on this subject. "

Note, this is not the first thread the guy created on this subject. This one is merely less of a complaint than the first.

I did note that you did not take acception to what I said...but, to the way I said it. Did you bother to read it all?

Well didn't I just stir up a wasps nest.

Look I'm here cos its fun to play.

Ok so I wan't new maps. terrible sin! Oh me oh my!

For the record I don't particularly like McDonalds form of cultural imperialism. But lets not take that one further or the wasps nest might get nasty.

I don't think being a paying customer I ought to do all the work. But I also know that I don't have to, and there are good people who do it because they want to / have the time to ok!

Please understand that there are many people playing online games. ( beats sitting glued to the one eyed god in the corner of the room ) Not all of us are computer whizzkids, game developers or have hours to spend making new maps etc or in my case even know how to!!! Sorry but I'm just a paying punter who wants to play a game!

I think there is room for us all as long as one type of player doesn't expect all the other players to be the same. And why can't we ask for something from time to time! I'm not whining just asking for new maps and I don't think that is a sin do you?

I hope this place in cyber space isn't filled with intolerant people like those that replied to this because if it is I find it a bit off putting.

Righto thats it I'm off to play this GAME for a bit of fun and the enjoyment of meeting and playing alongside online people from all over this cyber shrinking world.

Cheerio.

( phew, don't think I'll ask for anything again! Going to put cream on those wasp stings lol )

2 thumbs up, Tinpot! WTG!
I even got yelled at in the MA once I just openly asked if there might be a new map out anytime soon.
I'll might even start looking into creating maps but I also think it's odd that we could create a map but can't actually influence the rules of this game, which is as you might find out, controlled by some so called 'veterans' who hang around in this game for ages.

Summary: Don't ask in the bb for maps and don't even think about asking this in the MA. Only the 'veterans' have permission to ask and to yell at others.

looking back, he never once taught me anything about roller skating.

i wonder if he still has his cool greg brady haircut.

p.s. -nobaddy, i elected another option.  i no longer pay them or play thier game.  i remain on the board for altruistic reasons.

alas, the couple skate is over, the lights are coming on...moms in the car waiting and im stuck with a popper and an untucked shirt.

greg brady heads to the bar to drink himself to oblivion...its cold...his firebird wont start...his whistle frozen to his lips as he screams through it...

TWAAAggghwwweeeeeeeeeeeerrrrr rttttttt!

who would have thought that i ever would have gotten over
skateland?

peace.

Keep in mind that the enjoyment of this game is not necessarilly restricted to clicking "fly" killing stuff and racking up a good score.

Here you have something that is rare in an online flightsim. The ability to contribute your ideas, your creations to the betterment of the game.

Some do it by training, some by scenario design. Some build terrains and some paint planes.

All of those options are available in this game because of the way it has been designed. Player input is a wonderful option that enhances the game for the contributing player and the players that "use" his or her's contribution.

Those that contribute do it for the enjoyment of the game.

If the game and the large group of contributers aren't doing it fast enough for you, then McDonald's is an option.

There is far more available to you here than meets the eye.

Just gotta open them.

The titles that have a permanent home on my hard drive all have one thing in common; they look nothing like the original release.  I am always awed and humbled by the communities' talents to add, improve and delight.

I am greatful that HTC is a company that actively encourages customers to make their mark on the game.  Personally I would prefer them to continue tweaking the engine, introducing new models etc and leave it up to the talent out there for making skins and maps.

I heartily agree. Don't think we are here to be yelled at, accused of some non existant infraction, crass selfishness, etc etc by the " senior !?" members. I came here to play a game for fun and I think you guys did too. Pity you left August old mate but to be honest I might just too if this is realy what this thing is all about.

Its just a computer game guys!!!!! Stay real!!!!

First off, it is more of a "Simulation" than a "Game".  Look up the word in the dictionary if you would like the true meaning.  Some of us look upon AH2 alot differently than you.  To you its a nice relaxing event.  For some of us its more like a religion... one that is taken more seriously than dinking around with planes WWII planes.

Enough said, HTC wants to keep some realism to the game however they have completely gone over the edge with the ENY restriction aswell as some other topics which I won't discuss - i could go on for hours about it.
