I lost interest in Scenarios years ago. My main beef was that it seemed more like re-enacting a WWII battle than simulating one. You knew how many enemy planes you would encounter, and what type. That eliminates a lot of the suspense. Also, you had a good idea where you would encounter the enemy. The whole thing feels pre-scripted.
No, I don't have a better idea of how to create one, just saying that knowing too much about how the coming battle will unfold eventually makes the idea of flying a Scenario less attractive.
