"Belive this thread has gone over the top." - hitech

- thread regarding new maps closed.  (STAMP!)

------------------------------------------------------

it really wasnt even that bad of a thread...pretty usual stuff.

- someone asks..."hey hitech, can we have some of this..."  (AGAIN).  and/or someone is critical. (how "un AHpatriotic")
- hitech creations is silent on the issue.
- (vetran speaks) quit your whining you (insert mc'stereotype)...
- original poster replies.  flame war begins.  the original topic lost.
- hitech creations remains silent.
- someone gets hooked up on one thing that one guy said about an unrelated subject and the verbal furball begins.
- eventually, skuzzy sends a note saying the rules arent being followed in some way or another and puts the poster in his place on a posting technicality.
(rather than simply answering the question, or creating a frequent newsletter or having a forum moderator who responds to input, or having conversations with the players from time to time to lead them on the ways of acceptable, diplomatic forms of  discussion)
- newbie decides to stick to his opinion and his guns because he is paying for a service and feels that he deserves to be allowed to voice his non - borg-ian opinion for the simple red blooded american reason of economics.
(bad newbie? (sigh)  if only because he failed to realize that it doesnt matter how much beetching you hear from the vets about
AH...they will never say it openly to hitech.)  note...  i could see how this would be the case if they were to actually get perks for thier loyalty, like getting a gold star or a special forum moderation post, but alas...i have found no such benefits)
- thread closed by hitech.

sounds like TOD is going to be the penultimate orgasm for these guys.  oh yes sir!...your boots?!  shine them with my tongue?  oh yes sir, thank you sir.  anything for rank...oh dear god, please dont court marshall me.  (a spanking perhaps?)

folks, lets not forget that this is not TOD with its command structure and its punishments...  and it is a game...with rapidly declining graphic value by comparison if i may say so...(AGAIN)

HT is advertising for new members as well so all of you long term airmonkies are probably going to have to get used to new folks pouring in on the ox carts.

personally...i vote with my wallet and i dont send money to the virtual crackpipe anymore.  (probably hasnt made much of a dent, but that wasnt the point really)

no offense to my friends intended.  we all have our choices and our opinions.  i have nothing but respect for all of you.  sincerely.

i have recently chosen to live my outside life as i get only one of those and it doesnt have unlimited re-ups.  (outside of some guarantees in select eastern religions)

and i thought, well, there are probably a few souls who know they need to get back, but havent quite gotten the message to the surface.

hello.

soooo let me get this straight:
you start a complaint  thread to complain about another thread that was locked becouse the complaining got out of hand.

AND your info in your complaint is erroneous

IE.

Ask a intelegent question regarding the game from the desighner/owner/support staff you will get and answer...maybe not the answer you want or WHEN you want but ussually you will get one.

Demand in several threads like an imature whiney gimee what i want when i want it style with absolutly no consideraton of the current "works" in progress....expect no answer

There is only so much that can be done in a day...not like they have a HUGE staff working on everything...jeesh!
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

Bud, simply put everything that you stated is allready being done.
If their is a reasonable question, put in reasonable terms or a compalint anyone can e-mail HTC and receive an answer. ( I know. I have done it numerous times)
The next thing you state concerns the news letter. Try News, Announcements and Information here on the BBS.
Concerning the diplomatic and acceptable forms of disccussion...... Check out the "sticky" at the top of the forum.

I think all of us that really get interested in the game gets frustrated about something from time to time about this or that. In most cases we find out that what we are concerned about is allready being worked on by the staff at HTC.
What really confuses me is you state that you quit the game and stopped paying the monthly fee, but you are coming here and complaining how things are concduted on the BBS. I think if I were to reach the point that I was that disgusted with the game that I wouldn`t give a hoot whether HT coded Canadian geese with 30MMs mounted in their bills or if there was a virtual knife fight going on in the forum.
Democracy is two wolves deciding on what to eat. Freedom is a well armed sheep protesting the vote.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you meant to say, but do you know that "penultimate" means "next to last"?

In any event, if you are going to complain about the handling of complaints, at least be literate about it.

August, a thread was locked because it turned into a flame war and you immediately turn around and throw out some fresh bait.  If you want to leave, then leave.  It may be easier to have someone else do that for you, but that doesn't make it better.  Besides, then you can always come back without sunglasses and a fake beard.  Now if you don't want to leave, then that's fine too.  But don't expect this board to be a trolling ground for you.
