I don't know why they're not working, but I'm seeing the same thing.  HT will have to figure that out before the 2.01 release.  I have no idea why they work for United unless he's just testing them offline.

Thats correct.  I dont have online access, so all I can do is go offline with them.  Forgot to mention that...

Yah, Intel is this huge and powerful chipmaker with all the technology in the world at their disposal yet they make the WORST graphic chips. TERRIBLE. Not only dont they support T&L, but the texture quality is just awful. Not to mention in most cases they use shared system memory. That chip should be delegated to the business world only. Even there it sucks because it takes up system memory which for the most part is always lacking in business machines. Its a BIG pain in my office and i hate dealing with them =) Just thought id ramble.

is there an option for that, meaning someone has a lower end card that DOES support it, but if they turned it off would get better FR?

does that make sence?

There is an option in the video setup when you first enter the game that is labeled Hardware Vertex Processing.  If you uncheck this box, then you will go into the new mode.  However, the result will probably be a slower framerate, not a faster one.  If you have a graphics card that is designed to handle this function, doing it in the software is not as efficient.  You can try it and see, HT did mention that there could be a situation where it could run faster, but I don't know the specifics of what he was referring to.

They're causing us a lot of pain for sure.  It wouldn't be too bad except for all the big computer builders adopting them as standard equipment.

And for your information, the age of your computer is not relevant to this.  You can have a brand Gateway or Dell 3+ GHz machine and not be able to run AH unless you ordered their top end gaming system.

Not exactly, you don't have to have their top end gaming system, just a vid card that supports T&L hardware acceleration.

You can get one of those off the shelf for 50 bucks or have a good one added to mainstream systems (like dell etc) for an extra $80.

Not that I agree with the way Sp4de stated his opinion but I agree, if people cant afford to spend a couple of hundred dollars to upgrade their system for a game that was announced well in advance then what the heck are they doing spending $15/month??

The price people had to pay who had even half decent systems was that the graphics engine was not as powerful as it could have been and more time your company has to spend catering to those people who dont want to have even a mediocre video card.

thats one of the biggest problems .. its all the cheap everything onboard pc's that are sold over the counter .
These are mostly just word-processors !!!

A Gaming PC is just that , A pc built mainly to run games and grafic intense programs . (its been this way since the 486/k-6 days )

Would you try to check your email,or run a ftp program on an X-Box ???

Pyro thank you thats exactly what i was asking.

example a squadmate has a GF4 MX card,it runs the game, but only in the mid 20's and was wondering if he turned off the T&L it might jump up a bit, but from what you say no.

thank you again for understanding my babble heheheh
I don't know what to put here yet.
