yeah....tough night. The bats went cold at the wrong time for sure. I think Garner may have been better off pulling Clemens after the 5th. He gave up a couple of hits in the bottom of the 5th but worked out of it without giving up any runs. He came out in the 6th and got into another jam giving up the 2 big hits to Pujols and Rolen. You would think that knowing its game 7 that at the first sign of trouble you go to the bullpen. I mean you got the whole staff out there to choose from. Why not go to Oswalt in the 6th for a couple of innings and then to Qualls for the 8th and let Lidge close it in the 9th.
Oh well....you know what they say about hindsight.....
I just hope they are able to convince Beltran to stick around. That guy is possibly the best I have ever seen play in person. Although that Pujols guy aint too shabby either.
