I wanted to turn a friend on to AH2 but his Dell had on onboard Intel chipset and I didn't think he would be able to run it. I had an old Nvidia Geforce 2 ultra laying in the closet (i kinda wondered if this would even run AH2). Anyway I installed it and loaded 61.77 drivers he is playing at 1024x768 and is getting 59 fps! I am only getting 75 fps on my ATI AIW 9800. I am just amazed that an old card like that can run this game so well.

im getting mid 40's+ with a GF4 ti4800 (85 looking into sky, low 30's furballing)

those GF cards have consistantly gotten better FR in AH than ati.

I run an old (well, not that old) GF FX5200 and get very good frame rates in AH2. Around 70 in normal flight, 50 in tower and furballs, and 300 looking straight up.

Use Omega Drivers, http://www.omegadrivers.net and you should be able to see a significant difference in frames.

Yea.....lightling took out my secondary computers video card (a Geforce 4200Ti) so I just needed an el cheepo, and went with a Geforce 5200FX....and AH runs fine on it. Sure it doesnt look as sweet as my 9800 pro at 1600x1200 4xfsaa yada yada yada...but it runs nice.
