Ya the elite of the elite were people who could begin a calibration
mark a tree. hold down the mark button for a count to 20 and then move the cross hairs back to the tree and let go of the mark button. Basically doing that qualifies you for a doctorate in game suppremacy.

Realistic.
Realistic like the other 30 guys in the 3 bomber foration fell asleep while the bombideer calibrated. very very realistic.

Not exactly sure what you mean by yhe last paragraph Pongo, but formations did toggle their bombs based on the lead bombardier in a formation toggling his.

The bombardier was essentially flying the plane on the bomb run via the bomb sight, and generally because of flak over targets the gunners weren't worried as much about fighters because the fighters stayed out of the flak zones.

I think he means that if you are alone in a buff, you cant gun while calibrating the bombsite. The gunners all "went to sleep" during setup.
