That's sure to happen if they did what Drunky posted.

They Irony is that "neo-cons'" as the left likes to referrer to any Republican are former Demarcates, whom decided that the party had become a bunch of pansies and pushed for a stronger military, completely opposite of the demarcates today.

I was being sarcastic.  Unfortunately I've been told that I'm not very good at it.

I considered throwing empiralism in there also and state that America's interest should be considered above all else and that the mentality of 'Manifest Destiny' ensures our rights to take over a country for their oil, food, water, sexy little Japanese girls in school uniforms, vehicles, crappy trinkets, clothes, and toys from China, shoes from third world countries, or whatever it is that we need.

But I felt that this might be too much for people.  Good thing I didn't say it. (Sarcasm Alert)

On re-reading the thread i should perhaps make clear that the program really has a alarming things to say about straussians (neo-cons) too.

They believe that in order to stop this liberal disease which is decaying values it is important to unite the country under a common purpose through religion and a sense the US is a unique power for good in the world. To achieve this they must have a bogeyman figure (formerly the soviet union and now terrorists).

The alarming thing is they believe fabricating this bogeyman is a justified means to an end.

This sucks big style.

The funny thing is, that if we sealed our borders today, we would all be pissed, becuase we wouldn't have the latest in electronics and we would have to blow our own leaves, but a lot of the rest of the world would starve.

Reading your posts the past months I wouldnt agree with your assessement of your self on this issue:)

Realists:
Are guided more by practical considerations than ideological vision       -Not this administration

Believe strong alliances are important to US interests - Not this administration

Weigh the political costs of foreign action - Not this administration

We already have an empire.  Now, I think the final plan is an empire that prays to only one god.

Heh, you can be sure of one thing if/when the US economy goes belly up Canada will do everything humanly possible to help out even if it's to our detriment.
