At 3:30 am I heard a loud crash and breaking glass.  I thought someone was kicking in my front door.  I grabbed my gun, called the dog then I went looking.  Well the good news was, nobody was breaking in.  Some punks had thrown two pumpkins at my front bay window.

If I saw someone through the hole in my window at 3:30 am, I am not sure what I would have done.   I was a little more confused and frightened than I would have expected.  The fact that I was only awake maybe 30 seconds could have cost some pranksters their lives.

I think I did everything wrong in that scenario.  I shouldn't have rushed out into a room without having a clear, calm head.  Well that little prank should cost me about 300 bucks to fix.  But on the plus side, I didn't shoot anyone.

Glad it turned out to be nothing more than a broken window.
