Question for Squad OPs Squads
« on: October 28, 2004, 03:57:34 PM »
Hey guys,
Falcon and I have been thinking on what we can do to add some new life to the game sometimes it is kind of boring hitting the same targets all the time just in different terrians. what I want to propose is that the squads in squad ops put in numbers for there squad like 4-6,7-10 and 11-15 . This in return would create 3 groups. So an 11-15 squad would not be able to go against a 4-6
squad you would stay in your braket. What I want  to do is a Squad vs Squad so squads can dogfight as a Squad I mean just strictly dog fight. We could use a map and pick out 6 bases not that far away so we can run 3 groups at the same time 11-15 squads would be in the north ,7-10squads in the middle and 4-6 squads in the south(SO THE FIGHTS WOULD NOT GET IN THE WAY OF EACH OTHER). It would be like the best out of  rounds and the squad with the lower rank would pick 1st plane then the top squad, then the other, and we could pick a week and run like 6 to 9 squads 1 week and the rest the next?I also would make it that if an 8th place squad can not challenage the number1 squad the highest you could go is 2 slots so you would have to work your way up.

I am in the process of getting all the rules together and will submit it . If anyone would have any good inputs or rules please fell free to post them in here or is this a waist of time I hate to do alll the work and this not to appeal to any Squads.

Thanks for your time in reading this and please post your comments

I would be willing to host a squad-only ladder on FlightLadder.com if this is what you had in mind....

Several in my squad were thinking you were wanting to change or replace Squad Ops 68K0. Others might also. This is a separate event you are suggesting correct? You might want to clarify that.

Sour could be a huge help if that is the direction you wanted to go.

Yes this would be a SEPERATE event. NOT TO TAKE THE PLACE OF SQUAD OPS. I think that makes it clear lol. I was thinking of  Mondays,Tuesdays or Thrusdays say around time between 9:00 or 10:00 start time . Remmber guys I am wrighting rules and trying to get stuff together if anyone has some good points let me know some times you need some one from a different angle to see things.

I like the idea, How about setting it up where it is in the same timeslot as FSO. Just hold it the week after Frame 3, during the down time. Once a month, If it takes off try it on its own day and time slot.

Sour we need to get together and go over the squads . Kevy that would be a good idea and if it takes we give it its own night. Right now I want to take it slow so when we run it it is well thought out and not rushed into so we have no problems during the event. We got to do some testing with large numbers.
