Nuke,

Welcome to Miami!! One of the few atypical cities in North America.

Here are some local eating establishments I highly recommend.   if you like Bar B Que there is a place within walking distance of Datran called Shorty's on US 1.  It gets packed for lunch every day of the week.

There is a Burger place called Fudrucker's on US 1 and SW 104 street

If you care to try real Cuban Cuisine prepared by real Cubans there is a breakfast and lunch place called Ruben's on SW 124 Street just East of US1 right next to the Palmetto Ace Hardware store but either have an early or late lunch because the wait is horrific at noon.  Be sure and order a demitasse of Cuban coffee.  Don't let them sell you a "colada"  that would be about 6 portions and it's funny to some to watch anglos OD on caffine  :D  If you enjoy deserts try the "flan" it's basically a soufflete, very yummy.

For a great steak go to Grentner's a bit pricey but we like it.  It's also on US1.

If you want to unwind and enjoy the blues go to Tobacco Road but take a cab it's near down town and parking is a nightmare the place is usually packed.  It's about 8 miles North on US1.

They parked you in an ok spot.  The only better place would have been on South Beach but you are not there for monkey business are you?   :D  Enjoy our town. Be careful with the dark eyed beauties, watch your wallet.   :D

Nilsen, shaddap you.  :D
