I do not believe I have ever seen the entire program but have caught at least 2/3s of it on tv..

My question, does the movie/documentary attempt to present the evils of gun ownership or rather does the 'show' attempt to critique our countrie's 'inbred fear' and how those fears are played on??

And please, I ask this question honestly. I dont really care about MM's gun stance, if any, because I know my stance on guns. I'm asking for opinions on the real meaning of the doc. Bowling for Columbine from folk that have actually seen the program.

I will tell though that I did not see the doc. as so much of a anti-gun flic as how our America is shaped by fear, but I could be wrong. I'm looking for specific examples of how it was a anti-gun doc...

What do you guys think??

I think it was both Kappa.

I've seen the entire movie but it's been awhile and the only instance I can recall off the top of my head is the scene with Charleton Heston speaking on a raised platform. The words he says in the movie are taken from 3 different speaches and they are out of context.

The movie wanst about fear ala Farenheit 9/11. It was way more balanced then Farenheit 9/11.

Starts off on the fear issue, then screws it up by going after the evilness issue.
